On 24 and 25 February 2019, the trendy trade event for the hairdressing sector in the Benelux will take place: THE HAIR PROJECT. Every two years the entire hairdressing community gathers in Kortrijk to discover all the latest trends and innovations. The Hair Project is unique in its genre. The concept of the event stands out from others due to the combination of stands with top live shows in a separate hall, technical presentations, lively bars and district zones. With these new district zones the hairdressing event is able to offer additional themes: men, beauty, eco-awareness & conscious, fashion and nails. Moreover, this year, The Hair Project has some great surprises in store with its totally revamped and extended layout. This is the perfect setting for exciting encounters with colleagues who share a passion for hairdressing.

Renewed and extended layout
In 2017, an impressive 13,100 hairdressers visited THE HAIR PROJECT: 2% more than in 2015. The broader range of brands translated into a positive vibe and excellent visitor and participant satisfaction statistics. The Hair Project has everything that is needed to convince the entire hairdressing community to get back together in Kortrijk in 2019.

The new layout offers space for both top hair care brands and inspiring newcomers. New types of stands have been offered for instance, and the introduction of 'district zones' each of which focuses exclusively on one single theme. The men’s district focuses on products and tools aimed specifically at barbers and men’s hairdressers. This district has its own 'men stage' with continuous demonstrations. In the beauty, eco-awareness & conscious and nails district, the focus is on cosmetics (make-up, beauty treatments, etc.), on ecologically-friendly, organic and vegan hair cosmetics as well as on nail products. The fashion district concentrates on the 'total look' and the different accessories that can be offered in hairdressing salons. In addition to the existing range, you can expect to draw considerable inspiration so that you can offer even better experiences and enjoy in increased turnover in your hairdressing salon.

Very positive reactions to the new lay-out, with direct sales still being offered in a separate warehouse hall, are being heard throughout the marketplace. A great number of brands have already announced their participation in the event including L’Oréal Professionnel, Matrix, Coty (with Wella, Sebastian, SP, GHD, Nioxin & Sassoon), Ministery of Beauty (with, among others, L’Anza and 18.21 Man Made), Hairco.pro, Andis, Curve-O, Tailor’s Grooming, Marc Inbane, Massugu, Finnley’s, Rodolphe, JJ Maes, Pac Interior, Interlook, Equipal, Babyliss, Balmain, Olivia Garden, Medusa, Beauty Plaza, Renbow etc.

Artistic programme for hairdressers and barbers
In addition to the products and services offered by exhibitors, we are also working on a dynamic artistic programme for both hairdressers and barbers. On the organisers’ wish list for the live shows and the technical demonstrations are Belgian hairdressers as well as international leaders from France, the Netherlands, Scandinavia, UK, Italy, etc.
