The 080 Barcelona Fashion presents 24 designers and brands for its upcoming 23rd edition that will take place from the 4th to the 7 of February
at the Sant Pau Modernist Complex, home to the catwalk in its last editions.
In addition, a programme of parallel activities will run along the fashion shows to open the event not only to the professional public and fashion students but also to a broader audience and contribute to establishing Catalonia as a reference in the production and projection of fashion design.
These are the 24 brands and designers that will take part in the 080 Barcelona Fashion 23rd edition: 113 MAISON; AGNÈS SUNYER; Antonio Miro; Aubergin; BRAIN&BEAST; Custo Barcelona; Escorpion Studio Barcelona; Jnorig; Killing Weekend; Lebor Gabala; Little Creative Factory; Maite by Lola Casademunt; Mans Concept Menswear; Menchén Tomàs; Míriam Ponsa; NAULOVER; Oscarleon; Pablo Erroz; Rubés Galarreta; Sita Murt; Teoh & Lea; Txell Miras; Ze García; and Z1.
Among them, there are great comebacks, like the womenswear brand Sita Murt, which will walk the runway again after two editions without visiting the 080 Barcelona Fashion. The Barcelona based brand Menchén Tomàs, with its elegant prêt-à-porter, and the young designer Z García, king of haute couture for the millennial age, will be also back on the Catalan catwalk.
As usual, the 080 Barcelona Fashion will welcome new brands and designers that will make their debut on the runway. The newcomers of the 23rd edition are 113 Maison, a brand for women and men that won the 2nd edition of the 080 Barcelona Fashion / Rec.0 contest; Rubén Galarreta, a young promise in fashion design who, after working with master designer Manish Arora, has already dressed the popular singer Lady Gaga; and Teoh & Lea, with their casual chic fashion for women.
The winners of the 22nd edition will not miss their date with the Catalan catwalk and we will see again the tailor and menswear brand Mans Concept Menswear, winner of the Best Emerging Design Award twice, along with Antonio Miro, well-known for its impeccable designs for men and women. A polished style that contrasts with the emerging talents Jnorig, Killing Weekend and Z1, that will also walk in this winter edition.
The Catalan catwalk keeps its commitment to talent and creativity with the presence of the acclaimed designers Oscarleon, Miriam Ponsa, Txell Miras, Brain & Beast and Pablo Erroz, creators of different styles and regular names of the 080. Moreover, Agnès Sunyer, Lebor Gabala and Aubergin will also present their new collections of urban style at the beautiful setting of the Sant Pau Art Nouveau Site.
As always, the 080 Barcelona Fashion will bring together independent fashion designers, emerging talents and established brands. Among the latter, the runway will welcome back the global company Custo Barcelona, the womenswear brands Naulover, Maite by Lola Casademunt and Escorpion Studio Barcelona.
Little Creative Factory completes the selection of the 24 designers and brands announced for the 080 upcoming edition, a list that may be broadened shortly. The organization will also present the full programme of parallel activities within the next weeks. To attend the 080 catwalk, the professional public can register for their accreditations from early January through this website. As for the next 24th edition of the 080 Barcelona Fashion, the dates have already been announced: from the 25th to the 28 of June 2019.
The Business and Knowledge Department, through the Trade, Craftsmanship and Fashion Consortium (CCAM) boosts the 080 Barcelona Fashion with the aim of showcasing two important assets: on the one hand, the long textile industry tradition in Catalonia, and, on the other, the standing of Catalonia and, more specifically, its capital Barcelona as a magnet for talent in design and fashion.
The importance of the textile-fashion sector explains the support of the Generalitat to this initiative with the aim of establishing Catalonia as a benchmark in the creation and projection of fashion design, and contribute to its internationalization. In parallell, the 080 Barcelona Fashion wants to boost the culture of fashion and its connection with other creative industries while bringing closer the world of fashion to the Barcelona citizens.
